Thunderbolt 3/USB port issue - need to unplug and plug in every boot

Hey all I have a new Razer Blade Stealth 13. Bought it about a month ago and I've had problems with the thunderbolt port since day 1. Situation:
  • I keep my Razer plugged into a usb hub, that connects to my external monitor as well as keyboard, audio interface, webcam etc.
  • I run the power cable into the other usb-c port - just in case it was a power / performance issue (rather than pass power through the usb hub)
  • Every time I turn the razer on, it doesn't detect the hub by default - it needs to be unplugged then plugged back in again.
Note: I don't have this problem on my Surface Go 2, or Chomebook - where everything works as expected. Is this a known issue? How can I fix it? Thanks
