Tiamat 7.1 v2 compatibility

Hi
I am looking at buying the Tiamat 7.1 v2 and was wondering whether someone could check whether my onboard sound was compatible/good enough.
It is a relatively top end board so it should be ok but I wanted to check.

The motherboard is a Asus ROG STRIX Z390-F

Also how good is the sound isolation on this headset?

Thanks

Hey there! Thanks for your interest in our product. The Razer Tiamat 7.1 v2 compatibility depends on the sound card your PC's motherboard has. Please click the link below and see a list of popular sound cards we have tested with the Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 and any known limitations they may have:

Thank you for your response just one other question... How good is the sound isolation on this headset? I cant find any reviews that actually comment on this.

No sweat. By the way, this is the headset that I've been using and sound isolation is pretty good. Ensure to use the compatible sound card to utilize its 7.1 surround capability.

Beware -- Razer will literally refuse to support you if you're not using one of the cards listed on that page. They refused to even answer or attempt to troubleshoot my problem because I'm using a slightly newer (and better) Sound Blaster than the ones they list.

Hi @NotYourIngenue. Sorry for the mishap, however, our headset has been tested on the list of soundcards that we have mentioned in the link above. We recommend tweaking your headset's settings/EQ as well by using our Razer Synapse 2.0 and Razer Surround Sound and see if it helps.

I have Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 and Razer Synapse doesn't recognize them, also at 'Devices and Printers' the headset is the Unspecified section. And at the playback settings they play though 'Speakers: High Definition Audio Device' option and not through '7.1 Surround Audio' option..Please Help
