Trackpad not working properly (due to a swollen battery) | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

I am writing this regarding my malfunctioning trackpad. I have a razer blade 15 (rz09-0351) which my uncle bought for me in 2021 (i live in India). For the past week the trackpad has not been working properly, it randomly clicks and sometimes doesnt even register my finger. it has started to life up from the top side and i fear that it might be the battery bloating up.

I am a student studying in university from a very middle-class family and we spent a large chunk of money on this laptop and it. My parents can’t afford expensive repairs and the logistics to send it back to the USA for repairs are too much.

Please find a solution to my problem and if the problem is the battery (which im sure it is) please provide me a replacement. The laptop is out of warranty but I think Razer might help me with a swollen battery. If this is not solved quickly my laptop’s hardware will be damaged permanently and I will not be able to study (i am a computer science major).

This guy also basically had the same problem as me :

Please try to help me, I can’t afford another laptop right now and if this one gets damaged it will affect my work for a long long time. I am willing to provide every detail of this laptop even the photos of the laptop opened. Thanks a lot.

Hi @venturePERIDOTWenge605,

I’m sorry to hear about the swollen battery of your laptop. I received your PM and already responded to it. Let’s just continue our conversation privately so I can assist you accordingly and exhaust our options for replacing the battery of your device. Thanks!

I hope you get it fixed as after warranty expires you have to throw these laptops in the bin if anything is wrong with them, I broke the touchscreen on mine and it is like I have some contagous disease as no one is willing to help and the customer service is the worst in the world.
