Type-C dongle not detected problem

Hello, exactly a year ago, I bought and started using the Razer Barracuda X headset. I was using it with a Type-C dongle, and I was occasionally experiencing issues with it not connecting, but unplugging and plugging it back in fixed the problem. However, two days ago, I started my computer normally, but my computer detects the Type-C dongle but doesn't recognize it. The green light on the headset is on, but I can't use it. My USB ports also don't recognize the dongle. I've done everything I can to fix it, but it's not work it. Please help. My headset model is Razer Barracuda X RZ04-04430100, (Removed serial number).

HI iamspayc,

I’m here to help. I understand that the your Razer Barracuda X (2022) wireless dongle is no longer detected. To fix the issue, please do the troubleshooting steps laid out below:

  • Try plugging the Type-C dongle into a different USB port to rule out port-specific issues.
  • Inspect the USB ports for any physical damage or debris that might obstruct connection.
  • Ensure that your computer's USB drivers are up-to-date. You can do this through the Device Manager in Windows (accessible by right-clicking the Start button and selecting "Device Manager").
  • Update your Razer Barracuda X (2022) firmware here.
  • Connect the dongle and headset to another computer or device to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is with the headset or the original computer.

If you need further assistance, please feel free to send me a PM with your device’s serial number and proof of purchase so i can check for replacement options. Thank you!
