I recently upgraded from the Chroma to the Blackwidow v4. Right off the bat, I was having issues. I was not able to use left shift + w to run in games. This issue affects multiple games. I performed the following troubleshooting steps to no avail.
- Uninstall synapse(with and without running the clean up tool). Also removed synapse from regedit as part of this step.
- Hard reset with space, caplock, esc(this only works as long as the computer is on. The problem returns upon reboot)
- Removing the keyboard from synapse, then readding it. (this only works as long as the computer is on. The problem returns upon reboot)
- Removing device from device manager
- Updating firmware
- Returning keyboard to the store for a new one only to run into the exact same issues.
I’ve only been able to get a very temporary fix to the issue through methods 2 and 3. I’m at my wits end trying to find a lasting solution/root cause for this problem.
