i’ve tried every USB port but the updater application does not find the dongle have tried with the headset also plugged in directly still unable to proceed past the first step.

Did you try connecting the headset to another PC to check if the firmware installation pushes through? Check if your anti-virus is blocking any Razer-related files. If you are using VPN, please disable it, and see if the software’s odd behavior persists.
Yes I have tried several pcs and still no luck
also the headset has started loosing connection constantly when I’m about 3 feet away from receiver and a clear line of site to it
when it re connects audio sounds terrible and I have to alt tab in and out of game several times to get it back to normal usually causing me to die
I would like my money back this product is terrible
