Unable to use mouse, keyboard and mat at the same time

Little bit of a frustrating issue: if I connect my Basilisk, Ornata and Goliath to my Stealth, all three stop functioning reliably. The mat goes dark and the mouse and keyboard cycle between illuminated and operating to dark and unresponsive. I do not get notifications about USB devices disconnecting and reconnecting, so I suspect this is a software issue. It has happened on two different generations of Stealths. I have tried powered USB 1, 2, and C hubs, mixing which is on the hub and which is using the other port on the laptop. I found a couple of threads referring to a firmware update, but those are no longer available and should be automatic with Synapse 3.0. Little more info: the devices do trigger USB insert/remove sounds, and, it seems stable if I have the mat on USB C hub though the external video card, and kbd and mouse on the Razer's USB ports AND have the lighting style set to Static on all devices
