    i think if u KEEP the default razer cortex shortcut on desktop from first install. the update should work fine then. i hope this is what solved it.

    reformated to see if that is the case and apparently its still shot me an error. the program works so im not sure what it really means.

    i tried to update razer cortex today and i get this error:

Regarding your issue, could you please check out this CortexLauncher.exe file in the folder: C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Razer\\Razer Cortex and see whether it works for you? If yes, please right-click your mouse on this CortexLauncher.exe file, and click "Send to - Desktop(create shortcut)". Then, check it out from your desktop and see whether this issue is fixed.
