Unresponsive Blackwidow Essential keyboard (RZ03-0263) | Razer Insider

Hello everyone,

I need support for a Blackwidow Essential keyboard (RZ03-0263).

This morning I woke up and noticed the keyboard had its leds on breathing mode even though my computer was turned off the night before.

Upon booting the PC I saw that the keyboard was completely unresponsive, while Synapse 3 stopped listing it as an active device.

I've tried every solution I could find on youtube/redit in order to get it back alive but nothing worked. I've uninstalled Synapse, deleted its folders, uninstalled the related devices on device manager and reinstalled Synapse but nothing worked.

I had this same issue three times through 2021.

On the first time it kinda solved itself. I plugged a secondary keyboard on my PC and the Blackwidow resumed working while I was typing on the secondary keyboard.

On the second time, the keyboard stabilized when I updated my GPU graphics. (???)

And on the last time I found a little firmware updater on Razer's website. While executing it the keyboard would magically come back to life, until eventually it stabilized. However, I can't find the firmware for my keyboard model anymore.

I don't think it is a hardware issue as I have installed a new cooler a few weeks ago and while I had the case open also cleaned everything inside, checked cables and whatnot.

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks
Do PM me the serial number of your keyboard. I can use that to verify its model and check if there's any firmware suitable for your device. For now, you can try to hard reset your keyboard by following the steps on this page.
