Razer charges 99 to replace a battery if your battery swells when out of warranty. They Charge 99$ for 5 mins of work when out of warranty! on top of that they charge an extra @90$ for the new battery. Funny, also, customer service says there is only a few people out there, when down the street, my buddy also had the same problem, the battery swelled and the laptop cannot be used anymore. For anyone out there looking to buy a gaming laptop, their laptops are garbage. The customer service says there is only a handful of people that the battery dies, and if it does die or swell when you are out of warranty, you're out of luck, even if your a seasoned customer. Customer service is garbo. For a brand for gamers, i say turn away, you can get better laptops and peripherals out there that are made for gaming with better customer support.
My first gaming laptop from them. Also did some reading, there are many people that this happened to. Sounds like they use defective parts that might break when they are out of warranty to get some more money out of the owners. Overall, this is unbelievable that they cant sell me the battery or wont waive the fee to install a new battery which only takes 5 mins. Unrealistic.
