As of yesterday, I now hear a delayed echo from my mic using side tone instead of the pass through it usually offers. The app is also bugged and keeps showing a pop up saying make the Black Shark V2 pro your default device when it already is. Also using the mute switch lowers all audio until unmuted which places it back to normal.
Anyone else seeing this?

The sidetone feature (which I use always) was perfect for me before this update. Sidetone offered me a constant real-time “pass through” of my voice. But now, with this update, I hear my own voice on a delay and it’s incredibly frustrating. I want an update so sidetone can be how it was, where sidetone was just a constant “pass through” of my voice in real-time, not this absurd half-second delay that interferes with any other audio.
Also, every time I open Synapse I am greeted with that bugged message asking to set my Blackshark V2 Pro headset to the default device, and usually that popup message doesn’t close until I’ve clicked “SET AS DEFAULT” four or more times.
I also have the same issue and I’ve contacted support to resolve this. They have just gone through their basic troubleshooting steps and it seems like they don’t even read my replies. They considered doing a hardware replacement, but I have literally just had mine replaced after something was broken and the last headset also got varying issues after updates were pushed. It’s clearly just a software issue and I linked this thread to them in my reply where I emphasized that this was a common issue that came after their update.
Just let us choose versions manually… Could have just installed an old update and moved on.
+1Do you have the newest Synapse update? Because default input/output device was fixed in recent version.
Also please submit a bug through Synapse (please also include Synapse logs) by clicking on profile icon (right top of the Synapse) → Feedback. So it’ll be redirected to appropriate people.
I am experiencing this problem as well. I have also just purchased one of these in white as a holiday gift in white. First my Siren V3 Chroma isn’t supported at all through Synapse 4 and now my headset has this side tone delay causing an echo in both Synapse 4 and Synapse 3. R
Yup having the same delay on Razer Kraken V4, having an echo is horrible, it needs to be real time otherwise there is no point of sidetone.
As a sidenote to this, does anyone know if I can stop the woman from telling me the mic is muted, it cuts of what my friends are saying, I already have the light… I know already.
Yeah I am having the same issue… I just updated today and now I cant use sidetone and it gives me a headache...
Issue is as much as I love to downgrading to Synapse 3 just fully kills my performance. Whats up with razer and their software updates man. If they mess up a bug they should have a ROLL back feature or at least a feature to STOP these automatic updates that brick devices. Defeats the purpose of making new software if the new software is just slop 2.0 again.

Have all the same issues and uninstalled Syanpse 4 but Sidetone still is broken on Synapse 3. How frustrating this was not an issue before. Really degrades how much I ‘ve loved the blackshark V2 Pro but now it has these sort of sofware issues for a high end gaming headset.
Hopefully get some developers to wakeup and see this, spending money on a headset like this is diabolical just for a non tested update to get pushed out and get ignored for a month.
