Usb-c dongle not working

I purchased a Barracuda X headset the other day however, when I went to plug in the dongle to my PC and it won't connect to my headset. Windows makes the sound for when a new device is connected however in the device manager it just shows up as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" and doesn't show up as an output device in my sound settings. (Ive been trying to fix for almost a year)
