Hello everyone. Hope you’re all doing fantastic.

I have a question/query more than a problem as there are many ways I can avoid the issue, should I chose to.

But I’m curious, so here it is:

I have purchased a rather cheap adapter USB C to USB A&C (brand PROMATE), I wanted to use it as a charging and Bluetooth mouse port. It does exactly that on my MacBook Pro, but on my Razer Book it does not. What is even weirder when I just connect a mouse, then it doesn’t work, however when I connect mouse and USB C Power cable to it, mouse starts working but there is still no charging at all.

I am very curious why this happens and would love to find out. Even better if that could be actually fixed, but I’m not holding my breath - however I’m curious as why MBP works fine with it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
