usb soundcard not being detected by windows after razer synapse update

for the past week or so my audio has been messed up royally after a synapse update, mic was completely gone and normal sounds were skipping constantly, attempting to reinstall razer synapse initially fixed the problem up until it updated itself to the latest version, after which the problem returned and then got worse as now windows isn't even detecting the soundcard after its been plugged in. there has been no physical damage to the headset itself nor the soundcard.
