Used headphones but how do I connect them to razer so the mic works?

My friend just got new headphones, so he gave me his old ones. (Razer Kraken V3 X) I do not have an activation code so what do I do to make them work. They don't light up or anything and the mic doesn’t work. Is it my computer problem or the headphones?
