Viper 8khz left click constantly stops working, brand new.

Good afternoon, 

 

I purchased the viper 8k ambidextrous mouse and it arrived two days ago, since then the left click has completely stopped working, probably at least 10 times by now. Having to unplug the mouse and back in again to get it working or use a different mouse to be able to go through options.

Things I have tried.

Tried multiple different USB ports on the computer

Uninstalled and reinstalled the firmware

Uninstalled  Synapse and reinstalled it


Tried using the mouse with and without Synapse being open.

Tested my other mice to make sure it wasn’t a USB port issue, they worked fine. 

 

I have gone through the forum and it seems those are the main “fixes” that have been given to test so I have gone through them and it’s still happening. It is a shame as I’ve never gone with razer before and saw I could finally get a mouse for left handed side buttons which are seemingly rare nowadays. 

If there is a fix for it I haven’t yet tried I will happily give it a go. The mouse does seem quite comfortable and when it works for the few minutes before disconnecting it seems okay but not if it plans to break after few minutes.

We’re sad to know that the newl bought Razer mouse’s left click completely stopped working. Thank you for sharing the steps you tried. You mentioned that using another mouse on the same computer works. Have you tried connecting the Razer Viper 8KHz to another working computer? This is just to properly isolate the issue. I have the exact same problem, and I've tried everything to fix it, but nothing works. The right click only works intermittently. It's truly awful. How is it possible that a $1 mouse works perfectly with both the left and right clicks, while a $70 mouse doesn't? It's really sad...

I returned it for a refund. The staff above refused to message me in 9 days which is awful for a company. If you have the same issues I’d recommend just getting your money back, seems they have no intention of helping.
