Viper 8Khz need replug after boot to reach more than 1000hz (firmware is updated to v1.02.00_r1) | Razer Insider

Hello everyone,

so I noticed that to reach more than 1000hz I have to replug the mouse after the pc is turned on.

Firmware is already updated to version 1.02.00_r1.

I tested the polling rates with the Razer app (Polling Rate Tester App_v1.02.00.exe) and if the mouse isn't replugged the polling rate of 2000/4000/8000 behaves like 125/500/1000.

I also noticed that my polling rate can't reach 8000, maximum I can reach is 5200 (I've an Intel i7 4770 - non K version).

I don't think it's a bug in the tester app. because I wrote my own polling rate application based on raw mouse input (very rudimentary) and can confirm the data.

Thanks in advance for the support! :smile_:

After reboot Mouse offf and not responce.
I was able to resolve both problems.

#1 I was reaching 5200hz at max: solved by uninstalling the driver of an really old Wacom Intuos 2, W10 driver was never release and I was using the W7 64bit one; since I don't use it anymore I tried to uninstall the drivers and I'm able to reach 8000hz.

#2 Can't reach 8000hz after a reboot: cleaned all drivers following Razer HD procedure, plugged the mouse in a USB 2.0. Now the mouse can reach 8000hz after a reboot or after turning on the PC without the need to replug it.

Don't know why it doesn't like USB 3.0 on my system.

Also, just as an information, tried the mouse on 3 different PCs (so my mine desktop is the 4th) and worked fine without any issue; only on mine I had problems :frown_:
