Greetings.

I have been doing a bit of research and testing, didn’t manage to fix my Razer Viper Pro 8Khz. So I could use some help.

I have read and tried the following:

  1. Plugin the mouse, PC doesn’t recognize it / doesn’t work.
  2. Hold mouse’s left+right+middle buttons, PC recognizes it as in Bootloader state
    1. Launch the 1.03 update, click on update
    2. After the “Installing firmware” and “Verifying firmware” it keeps saying “AN UPDATE IS NEEDED”
    3. Click on it again, infinite loop
  3. Hold mouse’s left+right+middle buttons, PC recognizes it as in Bootloader state
    1. Launch the 1.03 update, click on update
    2. After the “Installing firmware” and “Verifying firmware” it keeps saying “AN UPDATE IS NEEDED”
    3. Unplug de mouse, holding still the buttons, plug it back again, same message, infinite loop.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Any information on how to restore the default firmware?

I can’t believe how few information is there in the documentation about the Razer products with their high end price profile, you would expect to get a premium support and not having to pay a “Razer Silver/Gold” or whatever :/

We have also several Razer Kraken Pro v2 headsets, amazing product, last for years, the only part I don’t like is the IC in the volume control and how difficult is to do an easy soldering fix after warranty passes.

Aside from that I was so happy with these headsets that it leaded me to buy a Razer mouse in 2022, this is very disappointing.

Edited: The thing that this platform doesn’t show the exact date of each messages shows that try to cover up this aspect from public view :)


My device has been purchased the 8th of April 2022, I have a proof or purchase added to my registered device in my account.

According to the warranty policy, my device is in warranty yet.
