Viper V2 Pro does not work with HyperPolling Dongle with new firmware 1.04.01 | Razer Insider

I just updated my Viper V2 Pro to the newest firmware 1.04.01. It’s no longer working with my HyperPolling Dongle. In Synapse, it’s showing as paired, but I’m not getting any mouse input through the HyperPolling Dongle at all.

I tired unpair and re-pair, I’m able to successfully re-pair the mouse, but I’m still not getting any mouse input. The mouse is still working fine wired or wireless with the original dongle. I tired to downgrade the firmware to 1.02.03, but downgrading is not allowed.

I just did the firmware upgrade on mine.

The re-pair process is weird.

  1. First unpair the hyperwireless dongle, while your mouse is in wired mode, then have your hyperwireless dongle AND your original usb dongle plugged into the PC.
  2. Unplug the wire from the mouse
  3. You should be able to use it in wireless mode since you have the original USB dongle plugged in
  4. Start the pair process, and then unplug the original dongle from the PC
  5. Press the “off” button on the bottom of the mouse. Just press it once, I don’t even know if pressing it does anything since there’s no indication of it being on or off.
  6. Move your mouse around, and the pairing utility should recognize it. When you move your mouse around, you shouldn’t see your cursor move on the screen, because there’s no connection yet.
  7. The pairing should work and you’ll be able to control your cursor in wireless mode via the hyperwireless dongle.

The pairing process has always been weird.

I just did it for mine and it worked this way. Hope you’re able to pair it the same way.

Thank you!

Having that normal dongle plugged in, then starting to pari and unplugging the old dongle was key!
Wouldn’t have figured it out without you!
