as in the title, mouse and dongle do not pair. I can see the mouse ‘searching’ to pair (glowing white LED on the mouse), but never seems to pair with the dongle (connected to the laptop and ‘seen’ by windows).
Used the utility programs to update both mouse and dongle (updated now to latest as of today) and also tried the pairing utility program - this recognized both the dongle and mouse, and even said ‘pairing successful’, but mouse remains unpaired with dongle (reconnected the dongle and restarted the mouse a couple of times).
Might be important to note: the mouse is bought used via amazon. The mouse worked ok for a couple of days, after which it only worked wired. Noticed the dongle is no longer recognized by windows. After googling about this issue, it does seem like it is widespread with the model of mouse. Someone proposed, and many confirmed, baking the dongle PCB - after doing this the dongle is again recognized by windows. This is when I did the updates via the utility program and tried pairing it with the pairing utility. Unfortunately, mouse and dongle do not pair, on their own nor via the pairing utility.
Not sure what more I can do here. Are there any recommendations at this stage? Will providing my serial number help in any way in search for workarounds? Thank you in advance.
