Viper V3 Pro significantly faster battery drain

Hello,

 

Recently I have noticed 2 things:

  1. Battery drains significantly faster than before when mouse is not being used,
  2. Turning off the mouse (holding power button for 3 seconds) seemingly does nothing, mouse light doesnt blink like before, just dongle light turns off, while the red light from the sensor (I assume it’s sensor, not sure about that) is still on.

While trying to resolve the issues I have also encountered another one, after a deep discharge, battery no longer charges to 100%, but up to 82%. The deep discharge happened 2 or 3 days after fully charging the mouse, which is definetly abnormal since before that mouse would last for me at least a week (I was turning it off every time I was not using it).

 

In attempt to resolve the issues I have tried the following:

  1. Firmware update to the newest version
  2. Charging via original cable connected to main PC and then laptop
  3. Charging for prolonged amount of time (8h+)
  4. Razer Synapse reinstall on main PC, then installation on laptop
  5. Reset to factory settings in Synapse

Until now everything was completly fine and the change in behaviour seems to have been without a cause, just randomly fully discharged after 2 days. I have tried contacting support via https://mysupport.razer.com/app/warranty-support, but could not get the hold of any kind of contact, so I’m writing here

If you bought it in some local shop in PL - I’d use the “shop warranty” (rękojmia) - I think it’ll be faster/easier to deal with the problem.

Hi Piotrolinek,

Is the lighting on or off when the battery drain occurs? How many hours does the mouse last from 100% to 1% battery during active usage? Please test your mouse on another PC and verify if the issue persists. Also, kindly send me a PM with your mouse’s serial number and proof of purchase so I can check the possibility of a replacement. Thanks!
