Device: Razer Viper V4 Pro
The Issue:
I recently updated the firmware on my Viper V4 Pro. The updater tool stated the installation was "successful," but the update has soft-bricked the mouse.
The tracking is completely corrupted. It stutters so heavily it feels like a 1Hz polling rate slideshow.
Troubleshooting Steps Already Completed:
Cross-Device Testing: I tested the mouse on an Asus ROG Strix G614 Laptop (Windows 11), an Acer laptop (Windows 10) and a MacBook. The exact same hardware-level stuttering and frozen power button occur on these three different operating systems.
Hardware Reset Attempts: I attempted the hardware button reset (holding Left Click + Right Click + Scroll Wheel while plugging in the USB). It did not resolve the freeze.
Standalone Updater Blocked: I downloaded the standalone Firmware Updater tool to re-flash the corrupted software. However, because the mouse's internal version number now technically matches the newest update, the tool says "No update needed" and actively blocks me from overwriting the broken code.
Request:
Because the public firmware updater is blocking me from re-flashing the corrupted installation, I need a support agent to provide the unlisted DFU Recovery Tool / Force-Flasher so I can bypass the version check and cleanly rewrite the mouse memory. If this cannot be done, I need to initiate an RMA for a hardware replacement, as the official update bricked the device. Thank you.
