I got a new pulsar meiy glasspad and with low and medium Lift off distance the sensor stops tracking and stutters sometimes. I’ve tried updating firmware, fix is using High LOD but I’d rather not use high lod because its harder to do long swipes.

Hi, I’m experiencing the same issue with a Razer Viper V4 Pro on a white Razer Atlas glass mousepad.

I already returned my first Viper V4 Pro under warranty because I thought that particular unit was faulty. The local service centre confirmed a defect. I then bought another brand-new Viper V4 Pro, and the same problem appeared again.

On the current unit, Smart Tracking set to Low or Medium causes intermittent tracking stalls. High works better. Firmware v1.04.01_r1 is installed.

When troubleshooting the first unit:

  • It worked on a cloth mousepad for three hours without issues.

  • My Basilisk V3 Pro worked perfectly on the same Atlas and PC. Switching straight back to the Viper immediately brought the problem back.

  • A factory reset, different polling rates, tracking settings and USB ports did not resolve it.

  • The mouse had its original feet and had not been modified.

Seeing the same symptoms on two separate units, and now another report involving a different glass mousepad, makes me suspect an issue with the model or firmware.

Could someone from Razer confirm whether this issue is known to the engineering team and whether a fix is planned? If it is being investigated, is there an estimated timeframe or a recommended workaround other than using High tracking distance?
