About 2 weeks ago when i was going to stream some stuff using OBS i noticed my mic was picking up any sound and decided to handle it at a later time. Now ive been looking into trying to fix it and i cant get anything working. ( Razer Blade 15" 2018 Advanced Model)



I looked up videos and forums with no success. i updated my computer and drivers but nothing changed. I checked the Privacy settings for it and still nothing, i really hope its a software issue and not a hardware issue with the built in mic. I used that webcam and mic for streaming my smash bros club meeting every week and this laptop has given me no problems up until now with the mic. The video still works on the webcam and the light still turns on when its in use. but even in the window setting im getting no feedback sound from the mic



i dont think anyone else has had this problem so i cant think of what to do so any advice please let me know!
Hi there! Just to clarify, were you trying to use the built-in webcam of the Razer Blade? Have you tried to reinstall both of the Camera and Microphone drivers?

Did you guys realized which is the problem? I have the same issue with the same laptop, by some reason it stopped working for me.
I also have the same issue (webcam doesn't show up as a device, laptop won't recognize audio input from any source), please reply to this thread if there's a way to resolve the issue without RMA.
I also have this problem. I tried updating to BIOS 1.07 and I really wished it had worked. I just have not found anything that works. I have even heard of many who took it to RMA and it still didnt work.
I ended up sending mine in for RMA, which fixed the microphone/camera issue. As far as I can tell, I think they may have replaced the entire screen assembly (though I don't know for sure).



It took about two weeks from when I sent it in to getting it back. Not great, but also nothing like the horror stories I've heard about Razer support. I got the laptop back, it still looks great, it works...I'll chime in later if any of that changes, but for now, I'd rate the experience with a solid B.

Is it depends on where you live? i have the same problem but heard lots of horror stories about the RMA thingy so I just keep my laptop here and wait for BIOS new updates 😞
