what is this?

i just bought the kraken v3. it says that it has 7.1 surround sound. my old head set broke which had 7.1 (hyper x) and im confused as to why i have to spend over an hour (give personal info even though i bought it physically) to set up 7.1 just to be told that my headset that i bought doesnt work with 7.1 and any code that i get says invalid. im so incredibly disappointed with my purchase. while with HyperX it was just plug it in and press a button. just why should i buy a razer headset if i could just get Hyper instead. if i dont get this fixed. im refunding and getting what i know works next time.
