what's the difference between razor wolverine V3 Pro and the tournament edition? I heard something about a better haptics, but what is actually different?? I'm trying to determine which one to buy.  There's no real information online and not many videos out. What are all the differences between the V3 Pro and the tournament edition wolverine?

Wolverine V3 Pro:

  • Wireless
  • Status indicator with Chroma
  • carrying case

They also mention “more advanced haptics” but no more info how advanced is it.

Thanks,  I did hear about that as well. And trying to find out how advanced is a mystery right now.

Sounds like not too much of a difference for an extra 100. So, I just pre-order the tournament edition.

The haptics at least on the wireless aren’t much in themselves and I can’t see much of a downgrade. I’m perfectly fine with it, but definitely not on Elite series ½ level. Since using 1000Hz mode wireless disables the customizations like paddles and M1/M2, don’t like that… So i’m using wired. It switches to xbox 360 controller drivers that way, not a bad thing.

Even then controller dies on me with low battery somehow while being used wired? I’ve never seen it above medium power and seems to only charges (I think) with the Razor made cable… and that is also what support page says so I believe it. Honest opinion, get the tournament mode. It’s fantastic controller so far and the extra $100 is going to waste for me.

Ignore rest of this rant if got answer.
I registered for support here just to get some dang clarity on the charging support. Their isn’t a dedicated charge indicator at all, so I guess I have to trust their PC app and just think that the aurora/rainbox effect does actually mean fully charged. Even though that turns off while plugged into charger/not plugged into PC and dies when it is while using it. IDK.

Why it needs a proprietary cable to charge and is so darn uninformative on charge is dirty move in my book.
