When can we expect Synapse 3 to support the Deathstalker keyboard? | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
I have a Deathstalker keyboard that isn't detected by Synapse 3. I've read that there are plans to add support for older devices but those plans were described a while ago. When will Synapse 3 be updated to support this keyboard?
Whether this plan will carry out~~~

The way how the Synapse 2.0 peripherals are designed is different to Synapse 3.0 peripherals

Synapse 2.0 peripherals are designed with an onboard memory profile

Where peripheral configuration such as RGB lighting features, macro buttons settings, key mappings etc are maintained within the peripheral not via Synapse.

Not all Synapse 3.0 peripherals are designed the same way as their predecessors, but due to the difference of how the Synapse maintain the peripherals, it is that difference which make it difficult for predecessors to work on Synapse 3.0.

At the moment there are no latest news that Synapse 2.0 peripherals will be supported by Synapse 3.0.
This is a bummer. Oh well, thanks. I guess I'll check again in a few months.
Hey PalePinkloadthink176! The Deathstalker series is only compatible with Razer Synapse 2.0. Razer will endeavor to improve Razer Synapse 3.0 until it reaches the final state. Also, we continually add support to legacy devices and gather feedback from the community. You can send our devs a message via the Razer Synapse 2.0's feedback section under settings. I'll be locking this thread now. Don’t hesitate to send me a PM or visit our self-help options should you have other questions or concerns.
