When i try to register my razer kraken headset, it says the serial number is unknown

So i wanted to download surround sound 7.1 but i dont have the activation code i need. So i tried to register my headset from synapse to get the activation code. I am using the S/N and the P/N from the bottom of the box but when i do it it tells me that the serial number is unknown.
