I just bought a Razer Basilisk V3 Pro and did a lot of research into what the mouse was capable of and figured it would fit my needs perfectly, as I wanted a mouse for both gaming and personal projects. The RGB looked stunning and it was within my budget. I’ve had my iMac since 2021 and it is currently running with Intel i9 Sequoia OS 15.5. I figured it would offer standard support for programs I wanted to use. I’m a bit disappointed that I paid $159 to receive this mouse and then I learned the hard way that Razer’s Synapse software does not offer the same customization for iMacs as PC users get?? When originally doing my research I saw that Mac was supported and assumed that included all Macs. I actually want to be able to use the customization that I basically paid for.
Is there anytime soon this can and will be improved? I understand the Apple M1 chips are the latest and greatest upgrade, but words cannot express my frustrations and confusion as to why Intel Macs are not getting supported by Razer.
Are there any workarounds besides using OpenRGB? I want to actually be able to customize the side buttons as well.
