why my goliathus extended glow weakens over time?

i have use the mouse pad for close to a year. around 8 months into use, i noticed the light intensity of the glow weakens. i didnt think much of it and simply increase the brightness under setting. now under max setting, only the small portion glows near the connector. 95% of the rest of the mat has almost no glow at all.

 

checking online gave me replies of many with same issue and seems theres no fix nor replacement for this. so it is normal and the lighting effect is basically one-off?

 

kindly advise.

I also have the same problem only works a few inches around where the light source is at the usb block. never did anything to make this happen. its upsetting when you spend 100$ and its just out of the 1 warrantee.

Check if the light tube is not bent somewhere so could “block” most of the light coming from the light source.

I own 2 of these pads and both fizzled out right around warranty expiration (1 year).  Razer support offered no help.  This is a faulty product and I was very disappointed that Razer blew me off, especially since i have been a “fan boy”, buying loads of their products.
