will the Barracuda X detachable microphone sold by razer be compatible with both versions of the headset?

I've already ordered and received the microphone but it has the model number that corresponds with the older model barracuda x headset. I have the 2022 version, razer support is not responding and I don't know if I should be sending it back or not to get the correct microphone. Anyone know if it's exactly the same and I can just use it?
