Windows 11 Upgrade - Blade 17 (Mid 2021) - RZ09-0406 - Intel SST Driver Issue

Hi All,
Has anyone using the blade 17 RZ09-0406 been able to upgrade to Windows 11? I've been getting the standard:
"Coming Soon Windows 11:
Windows 11 is on its way to your device. There's nothing that requires your attention at the moment. Once the update is ready for your device, you'll see it available on this page."
Clicking on 'learn more' I apparently have a 'windows hold' because of the Intel SST driver issue that requires the file IntcAudioBus.sys to be upgraded to a version of 10.30.00.5714 and later or 10.29.00.5714 and later.
Anyone been able to work around this issue?
Thanks

I haven't been able to use the Windows Update tool to upgrade to Windows 11 either. I had no clue what the issue was until I read your post. I just figured it was taking a while to roll out. I checked Intel's Driver & Support Assistant and there are no new Intel SST drivers for this system.

Hi guys,

Please make sure you check for Windows OS updates and install them. If you're still experiencing the same issue, please PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and raise your concern to the relevant team.

Yes you're right there are no new drivers - I have been checking since Jan-22. I did try to download a later version not specifically for this laptop from the intel site. That has not helped either.

I check for updates at least once a week and I just updated today. That's not the issue.

Strangely my windows 11 update message changed today. It now says Windows 11, Version 22H2 is on its way. Not sure if it will actually come through, and whether this particular version will have the ability to support the driver related issue whih was preventing the upgrade

Same. Who knows how long this message will be there. It could be until next year. I think I might just upgrade to Windows 11 manually. I just have to back up my stuff first.

That's true, i am hoping it includes the fixes to release the hold and do the upgrade. But then I am thinking if it's just a rollup of all patchers released to-date, perhaps it won't. Well, if you do the upgrade do let me know how it goes, please.

It seems to be working. Took a couple of tries but it's upgraded. Same model as yours. I have no idea why some machines are green lit to upgrade and some aren't could be some type of randomized schedule to help balance the load.

I think I'm going back to Windows 10. After all that, this whole thing feels like a huge waste of time. Nothing in Windows 11 is broken. It's just too slow.

really? man i just received the update a few days back.
What are u finding slow? Gameplay? I wasn't using the Razer Cortex App on Windows 10. Installed it after Windows 11, gameplay seems fine to me.

Game performance is slightly worse. But thebig problem is everything else about the desktop experience. Startup time, application luanche time. Even simple things just like navigating around the filesystem. It doesn't sound like a big deal but it's the difference between feeling like you're waiting for something or not.
