Same problem, thanks for the tip to disable Audio Enhancements in Windows settings, at least i can change the volume until razer fix it

According to our senior technical support, the issue is temporary due to an ongoing Razer software upgrade. However, we would still like to request your Razer Synapse logs and MSinfo to escalate your case to senior technical support for further assistance.

Me

So are you telling me that Razer has acknowledged its an issue and I can expect a solution in a near future update?

Gio
Absolutely!

At least we have official confirmation I guess?

Try removing THX Spatial Audio USB from your Add/Remove programs. Made my volume mixer work again.

Can confirm this also works for me. Which is curious since It’s one of the first things I tried after I started having this issue and it didn’t change anything back then.

Can confirm uninstalling THX Spatial Audio USB from the Add/Remove programs list made my volume mixer work. The strange thing is I had two variations of this installed (when I verified I had none installed when I went to reinstall the software) so I have one version that is installed right now. The version number of that driver installed is version 3.2

I am also currently using the Razer Blackshark V2 Headset.

Worked for me too, thank you.
And, as someone in here, I too had 2 separate THX drivers installed, one new and one old, 3.0.x something.

After the driver reinstall fix, Synapse EQ doesn’t work: bass boost nor sound normalization. Anyone knows why? Device properties → enhancements → bassboost and sound normalization don’t work either, have no effect on sound at all

EDIT : after uninstalled THX Spatial Audio USB , EQ and all enhancments didnt work anymore

UPDATE : i installed The new Synapse to see what version of THX spatial audio USB will be install and it was 3.0.26 i think (forgot it :D ) and volume mixer is working like a charm

the point is Synapse 3 is installing 3.2.0.0 so the problem is new version of THX Spatial audio USB that volume is broken

razer where are you ? we are telling you what is the problem and where you can find it but .. meh

new synapse is so bad and buggy btw

I currently have THX ver. 3.0.37.0 (fresh reinstall of syanpse today) installed and removed 3.2.0.0 — volume sliders work but EQ doesn’t.
Is this the situation for everyone else, or has a way been figured out to have volume sliders and EQ work simultaneously?

But how long does it take them to solve? Updated today, removed THX 3.2 but the problem persists. I had to deactivate the audio enhancements from the windows panel for the second time.

Today there was new update (Synapse v3.9.516) They did release some feature for sound card, but still audio eq doesn't work, tbh i gave up on razer and started using this program called Boom 3D, you can adjust your eq settings and there are different sound mode such as 3D surround.

I installed “The New Synapse” the other day, and it seems to have fixed the problems I was having with volume mixer and spatial audio.

I uninstalled all razer program and files on my PC, even deleted the drivers of headphone in device manager since i know how bug razers software are.
Installed the new synapse, detected my headphone (my sound card for blackshark v2 actually) and installed the thx and other drivers for it then it asked for restart. i was really excited since i thought finally i can user my headphones properly, after the restart i find out this new razer synapse auto shut down if the sound card is inserted, i tried take out and the program stoped auto shutting but as soon as i install the headphone back it shut down the razer synapse beta.

This is outrageous!
I think i tried too much, i will just use SteelSeries GG i have no hope in razer any more.

Even after reinstalling “new synapse” this is still hapepning, Razer can we get a fix for this for the love of God? It’s so annoying

I was able to get the audio equalizer to work by using the DriverStore Explorer program.

The program will find the version of the driver that was installed before the update. I have version 3.0.36.

  • in the beginning, I deleted Synapse 3
  • I deleted all THX version 3.2 drivers using DriverStore Explorer.
  • Choose the driver shown in the screenshot. Then, click the checkbox Install Driver and press the button Refresh

DriverStore Explorer

https://github.com/lostindark/DriverStoreExplorer/releases/tag/v0.11.92

after install “new synapse”, my problem seems to have been solved

  • first, I try using DriverStore Explorer to remove all Drivers associated with the card

  • use device manager to remove the sound card

  • install “new synapse” and the old version will be removed automatically

To anyone still facing this issue, I got myself Razer BlackShark V2 and was using the Razer USB Sound card. How I fixed this issue was not to disable any enhancements, because then it’s just a basic headphone. Instead, just change your spatial sound to Windows Sonic for Headphones.

After doing so, I could enjoy music and make use of my headphones during gameing time.

Is your equalizer working?

Yeah, I tried the profiles provided from Razer and can say that equalizer is working.

I tried it and I can confirm it works, BUT in my case it creates an awful echo (not much strong, but very annoying) when I have 2 sound related programs running at the same time (like a game and in a voice channel on Discord or a game and the media player with background music).

Let’s see of someone else notices something like this.

Exactly the same, I came across this issue pretty early on, but it still came at a large sacrifice to the high audio quality I had achieved previously without issue. Sounds noteably worse. I spoke to Razer who assured me the problem was recognised and I could expect a fix in a “near future update”. That was 3 months ago.

Sort of coming back from page one to also clarify that things have yet to change. Every now n then each month I turn Enhanced Audio back on to check if things work now, and am met with the unfortunate news that things still haven’t been changing at all.

I am using the Enhance Audio Off Method to do anything now and honestly SOMEHOW find no Audio Enhancements to actually be better audio now just from how long its been lol. Mind you, I am also not using Sonic Audio Spatial for the spoken of reason of it echoing.

Not switching out for another company simply because I feel I’ve relied/dug my self into so much on Razer and that I don’t really know what others to pick and if they would actually be better and not biased just because Razer is having issues.
