Wolverine v3 pro battery only charges to medium - how to get full charge

I recently bought a wolverine v3 pro Xbox controller.  using the app on the Xbox to manage the controller.  the charge only goes to medium which means I don’t get very long using it before needing to charge again.  why is the controller not charging fully?
