I just got this controller, but i leave it plugged in all the time wired when not needed wireless so i played a few bf6 games with it plugged in, then went to bed, wake up today and i see it is charging on the UI, when i mouse over the controller it says 82% so over night while my pc was off and the controller was wired it lost nearly 20% charge??? this is super concerning.

Hi Gisborne,

I understand that the battery of your Razer Wolverine V3 Pro is draining. Allow me to ask a few questions to isolate the issue.

  • When you left the controller plugged in overnight, was the console/PC completely powered off, in sleep mode, or hibernate?
  • Are you using the original cable that came with the controller, or a third‑party cable/USB hub?
  • Do you notice the same discharge if you leave the controller unplugged and powered off overnight?

In the meantime, please try the following steps fix the issue:

  1. Make sure to update your Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Firmware here. Click on drivers and downloads.

  2. Power cycle and test

    • Fully charge the controller to 100%.
    • Disconnect it from the cable and turn it off completely.
    • Leave it overnight and check the battery level the next day to see if it still drops significantly while off.
  3. Test with system fully off vs sleep

    • Try leaving the controller plugged in while your PC/console is fully shut down (not sleep) and see if the same 15–20% drop happens.
    • Then test again with the PC/console in sleep mode for comparison.
  4. Try a different USB port/cable

    • Plug the controller into a different USB port directly on the PC/console (avoid hubs if possible).
    • If available, test with another good‑quality cable and see if the behavior changes.

After trying the steps provided, please PM let me know if how much the battery dropped in each test scenario and if the issue only happens when the controller is left plugged in while the PC/console is off. This information will help us check if this is a power/USB issue, or a possible fault with the controller. All the best!
