This is amazing news! I've been testing wirelessly for about a half hour and I can say it DOES feel like it has been fixed! I'll do some more testing tomorrow, but so far, so good!

Can't wait for my laptop so i can update as well, one more day (hopefully only one) 😭

Thanks for sharing these details, since the controller works well wired but not wirelessly, it is worth testing the dongle close to the controller with a clear line of sight and away from other wireless devices or USB hubs. Also try the controller on a PC first to rule out a console-specific issue, and make sure the latest firmware update is fully completed before retesting. If the problem persists, opening a support ticket with a short video of the aiming issue will help the team reproduce it.

Really glad the firmware update sorted it for you — I had the same wireless drift on my V4 Pro and it was driving me mad in games. I ran the updater on PC following the PC/XInput instructions and my first wireless session after it felt noticeably steadier. Fingers crossed it holds up for everyone else here too.

Hi @xKID_CHAMELEONx,

Thank you very much for your reply and for explaining how you successfully installed the firmware update. I really appreciate your help.

Unfortunately, my problem starts before I can even install the update. Razer Synapse 4 detects my Wolverine V4 Pro, but it says the controller is in Xbox Mode and does not allow me to open the Cockpit.

I have repeatedly tried Function + Menu + A with both the original USB cable and the HyperSpeed wireless dongle, but the controller never switches to PC/XInput Mode. The UPDATE button in the separate firmware updater also remains disabled.

You recommended resetting the controller to factory settings. Could you please explain exactly how to perform a factory reset on the Wolverine V4 Pro, step by step?

  • Which buttons or application do I need to use?
  • Did you personally perform a factory reset, or was this just a suggestion?
  • Will the reset erase my saved controller profiles and settings?

I also have a very important question:

Could you please test whether you can successfully switch your controller from Xbox Mode to PC/XInput Mode and then open the Razer Synapse 4 Cockpit?

Specifically, can you access the thumbstick settings, deadzones, trigger settings and other customization options inside Synapse 4?

Have you ever used the Razer Controller Setup for Xbox app before switching to Synapse 4? I used my controller on Xbox Series X and configured it through Controller Setup before attempting to use Synapse.

Could you also explain exactly how you press and release Function + Menu + A? Do you hold Function first, then press Menu + A, or press all three simultaneously?

I would really appreciate your guidance because I have been struggling with this issue for quite some time.

Thank you again for your help!
