Yeelight Chroma Connect | Razer Insider

Hi all,

Been reading through some threads here and the Yeelight Chroma Connect app seems more hit than miss. No matter what I do it does not pick up the Yeelights 1S strips on my LAN. I have tried:

  • https://dl.razerzone.com/drivers/Synapse3/win//RazerSynapseInstaller_V1.0.148.188.exe - The new SDK

  • Yeelight Connector 1.0.12 (latest one as per the date of this post)

  • Uninstall old Yeelight, reboot, install new one, reboot

  • Uninstall synapse, reboot, install, reboot

  • Tried synapse first then yeelight as per 3,4

  • Tried my wireless connection then my ethernet connection

  • Tried Static IP for both my machine and the yeelights

  • Tried adding outbound and inbound firewall rules (allow all for program)

  • Tried turn off Lan control turn on Lan control

  • Yeelights are all on latest firmware

  • Made sure Chrome Connect is enabled and the Yeelight is enabled under that.

  • Yeelights are on the same network as PC.

I can definitely see the lights in the Yeelight app, can see it on the Yeelight app from the Windows store.

The Yeelight Connector app just feels like a alpha release.

What I think they need to do:

  • Make the app more user friendly like ability to refresh to find devices

  • Remove the Chinese options in the system tray so we know what they actually mean

  • Test option to test the process rather than just listing what you should check which is usually all done and show where its failing

  • Add an update check option so we dont always have to go to the site to see if there is a new version

  • And on the download from their site put the version number on the download so you dont have to download and then find out its the same dam version

Think the potential is really good and would make its customers to buy the lights and maybe even more lights. But they HAVE to fix this dam software.

Does anyone have any other options I can try?
