Hey!

So this has popped up since the 20240108 update and it turns out you can only open Synapse if you have 5 devices connected at once MAX.

If you have less than that already and it’s occuring, I’d probably try and re-install it.

+1. Razer Synapse just crashes when detecting my devices since this update.

If it only 5 devices, I am done for as I have 8.

Dose this mean thay will fix it ?

So your devices should work as normal, you just can’t configure them in Synapse unless you remove 3 and have only 5 connected at one time.

I’ve contacted them but they’ve asked me to use the Driver Cleanup Tool which I don’t have time for yet.

(I still think this is a SOFTWARE issue because of the update)...

(I still think this is a SOFTWARE issue because of the update)…

It 100% is a software issue. Since the last Synapse update, my Cynosa V2 keeps disconnecting by itself, and is not working in general. The only way around this issue is to close all Razer tasks with the Task Manager. But then, you lose the RGB illumination (and then, what’s the point of it?). I got the same issue a few months back, and it got resolved with the following Synapse update. Oh, and the “don’t configure more than 5 devices with Synapse and it’ll work” is just pure BS, I only have two Razer devices.

It’s shameful and pathetic that a big company like Razer isn’t able to test if the updates for their software works on their hardware. I’m done with this company, I ordered a Corsair keyboard and put this piece of junk for sale.

Totally understand your frustration.

I definitely agree that there should be more QC done with their updates because it's infuriating. I don't want to spend my day uninstalling drivers because Synapse is broken due to an update.

As with the 5 devices thing, I should further extend my point to stating this issue seems to be affecting people in different ways, clearly it's not letting you use two devices (if I've understood correctly?) which is definitely not something I've seen yet. Are you saying it doesn't open with just TWO devices connected?

I have more than 5 Razer devices and when I try to open Synapse, it just automatically closes. However my devices all seem to be functioning normally including the Chroma settings. I just can’t get back in to Synapse to check or change anything.

Try disconnecting a few down to 5 JUST to see if it works when opening Synapse

I’m curious if this fixes it for more than just me

hi all, I can confirm that it is a software problem.  My opinion

I disconnected 3 device's from my system,   clicked on open synapse 3, and it opened 1st time .

I suggest that you create a report to Razer and bring this to there attention for a fix.

I also suggest in the meantime that if you need to run synapse 3 , to either disconnect as many devices to bring the amount connected is 5,  or install a early version of synapse .

I will also up date my ticket to razer with this info, but I think thay might all ready know of this

good luck all

Oh my god, I have 10 devices, and I can only remove 1 or 2 at most……

The update to 20240111 has fixed this issue for me.
