Best laptop I've ever owned. Period. I've had Mac book pros (quite a few over the years & used for development/work), windows Surface laptops, MSI Ghosts and others, but this machine is tight, beautiful, and very very fast.
Played a few games - very fluid - worked on the Unreal Engine - excellent. Coil whine? Not hearing anything that is bothering me other than the fans spinning up but I've probably had more than the average share of loud music... Fan noise isn't bad at all compared to other high performance laptops. Want to try some video editing with Resolve after I get it installed and see how it performs - which I'm expecting will be great given the 2070 with 8GB.
It's kinda heavy and kinda bulky due to the rubber pads on the bottom. But compared to my gen 6 MSI Ghost it's tiny lol. see image - both laptops have the same screen size. Huge bezel on the Ghost (it is 3 years old...) And fingerprints? Yeah it shows them. And so what - when you carrying Kubrick's monolith around who cares about the fingerprints.
Razer logo on the back - can turn it off and cycle it to breath with synapse - didn't know this until I got the laptop. However, it is green when off and a brighter green when on
Shipping & Package was excellent. I ordered Tuesday late night EST and received it THURSDAY by 9:30 am from Hong Kong. Wasn't expecting that at all.
I upgraded the SSD - and btw - that was a bit of a hassle - the 1TB (Sabrent Rocket) drive had a different sector size than the 256GB so a direct clone or image->restore was impossible. The physical install was a piece of cake.
(not razer specific here but thought might be of interest..).
The sabrent drive is insanely fast - ran crystal disk mark on it and got a 3.2GBs on sequential reads : see image.. I didn't test the original drive - but my main system has 1 samsung 9xx pro nvme, 2 EVO SSD striped, and 3 EVOs striped - all insanely fast - and on the sequential reads/writes, down to 4Kib Q32T1 tests the sabrent crushes them - By like great than 1GBs.
That's all for now

I upgraded from the MSI Ghost 15.6 as well to the blade 15. Love it just like you love yours, lol.
Just out of curiosity, does the fingerprint magnet problem bother you? I have to bring a microfiber cloth along just so I can clean it after work everyday... lol

Glad you love the blade. Fingerprints don’t bother me at all. Dust bothers me more. I have yet to wipe any prints off. Just doesn’t appear that bad to me. It’s a black monolith it’s gonna have prints..
I use it in an environment where most folks are running around with macs “to be different” heh. The blade really stands out in a good way. Very cool machine. I’ve done some da Vinci resolve work and also Unreal engine and the blade is awesome from a performance standpoint. Completely untouchable from a Mac. Ran Metro Exodus and SATSFACTORY both run great and look great. Rest of the time is dev/office tools and by far best laptop. Not as portable as my surface laptop and not as bright as the surface or macs but beefiest workhorse for sure.
Congrats! I've owned the Mercury White 2060 2019 model for a week now and I absolutely love it. It's my first Razer laptop! No coil whine here either and after some tweaking, the temps are much better than my prior Asus Zephyrus (GTX 1060) which it replaces. I would also say it's the best computer I've ever owned! It's like owning a MacBook Pro 15 but better!!
