Hi guys, I was looking to get a RB15 165 QHD, and I am sensitive to PWM (Pulse-width modulation). So I was wondering if this screen uses it?

What frequency of PWM bothers you?

Because it can cause eye strain / pain. And PWM is a cheap way to control screen brightness.

I get that it is a cheap way to control screen brightness. I use PWM to control LED brightness in projects all the time. My question here is at what frequency does the PWM effect you? I mean the screen is already running at 165 Hz, so I am guessing that it must be much less than that? For my projects, I usually like to go over 90 Hz because I can notice it at 60 Hz.

I get that. My question still stands at what frequency bothers you.

It depends on the user, some users notice eye strain at ~200Hz, some users are sensitive to a higher values like ~500Hz.
