4k 2070 vs Full HD 144HZ 2080

Hi, I'm about to take the splurge and get my first Razer laptop, but I'm not sure which of these two options to go for. I'm assuming a 2070 is going to be able to run any game out now and for the next few years at full specs (correct me if I'm wrong), and my priority between a significantly better screen and a marginally better GPU would be with the screen. After some brief reading it seems the 4K monitor is indeed significantly better than the 144hz Full HD version. Is there anyone that can confirm this? Or basically tell me if they think the increase in GPU power is worth the worse quality screen? Thanks in advance

Yes even with last year 1070maxq i don’t think there’s unplayable games in HD or even 1440p, with 2070maxq you’ll have better future proof. About the panel, it depends on you CSGo player go for 144Hz Panel for better refresh rate, content creator who play resident evil or Sekiro and enough with 60Hz can go with 4K, yes I can see the crispy difference (some poeple say 4K in 15 inch is useless but they’re wrong), with 4K you should consider having less battery life for pushing more pixel but in term of gaming you can always down scaling to 1440p which 1080p couldn’t. And Rtx card features dlss is more sensible on 4K Panel since you downscale it on lower resolution and output on higher. Anyway on both choose you can have other panel feature by buying high refresh rate or high resolution external monitor. I went with 1080p 144Hz on last year model because I’ve 4K 60Hz morning External monitor, but after being used to high resolution game and refresh rate, I bought last year 1440p 165Hz G-Sync External Monitor, so I almost never playing things on 1080p Today. you can also lower volumetric clouds to medium or high, use low dof and set shadow down to high or very high and cap at 45 fps, maybe use adaptive AA too if an area is problematic
