Alternative Razer repair in the US?

I have a 2017 Razer Blade Pro 4K, it died (won't power on, just flashes an LED), upon sending it to Razer they say it needs a new motherboard, and the total repair bill is over $1500USD - seems insane really, that's pretty much the cost you're buying them at now. Are there any alternative laptop repair places in the US that may be able to help make this a little more affordable?

Well, it depends. In a good PC workshop, where also chips are soldered and also measuring instruments are available, you should be helped. We have a good workshop here in Germany, which can also solder defective chips on the board. It also depends on where the error is.

It was just a generic 'you need a new motherboard' from them and the bill. Sadly shipping to Germany would be a little too much, I've already shipped it from Barbados to the US! :)

That's right. Doesn't have to be much damage, though. It could be just a short circuit or one of the lines could be broken. Specialist technicians should be able to repair this without having to replace the circuit boards.
