Anti-fingerprint Coating also coming to other laptops?

You're probably better off trying out an oleophobic coating kit and applying that, instead of spending thousands on a laptop just for that :smile_:

Just apply those ceramic coating used for cars and will have the same effect. I opted for applying skin as it looks better with my choice of design / texture.

🏆 Medals for creativity. Unfortunately, it seems a big risk to take on such an expensive laptop (unless you have a spare RB/RBP sitting around). Have either of you used these techniques with your razer products? I've heard that automotive paint is notoriously difficult to get perfect (orange-peeling and dust bumps rampant), and it looks like oleophobic coating kits are mostly just meant for laptop screens.. /= I currently just fear making my RBP look way worse. For the money we're paying (my 2017 RBP was $5000+), we really should all expect this to come with the laptop, and with a coating technique professionally developed by their industrial product design team. )= Does anyone else have any inside knowledge as to why this feature is not being advertised for other models?

we learned something new everyday here on Razer Insider :D and im glad to be here, i dont even know there is such as thing exist. i live day by day with fingerprint on my phone screen blade etc. now i can sleep well without finger print.

Automotive paint has nothing to do with what we're talking about. Ceramic coating is applied on top of the clear coat, which is applied onto the paint. Regardless, i'm not sure i'd recommend that on a device. I thought you were only referring to the screen. I assumed that the rest of the laptop doesn't get fingerprints that bad, because it's a matte surface.

Thanks for pointing out my misunderstanding. Led me to some great products I actually think would be a good idea to buy for my car. =) For anyone looking for an aftermarket product, here appears to be a potentially good option for black, matte-finish surfaces: https://www.mckees37.com/matte-kit.html Unfortunately it does look like it will probably result in a bit greasier-looking finish than one would like, but if not a deal breaker to you, it might reduce the need to buff out your RBP with a microfiber cloth before every meeting.
