Blad 15 with GTX1660 and Core X with RTX2060S

Hi, newbie here with Razer brand :) I am using the Blade 15 with GTX 1660, and I just purchased a Core X Chroma and just put in RTX2060S. I cannot get Windows 10 to use the RTX2060S, both graphic cards show up in "Device Mangers", but as of now, only the GTX1660 can be used. The 2060S has an error code 43 when I click on details. Anyone has this setup or has experienced this before? How did you solve it?

I resolved it. I had the Zotac RTX2060 Super Xtreme Amp, and I used the included adapter to connect the two 6 pins from Core X to one of the 8 pins on the graphics card. To fix it, I use one 6+2 pins and one 6 pins from the Core X to connect directly to the graphics card. Problems solved! I was just playing safe, and thought whatever is included have to be utilized...

Oh, is there a way to use both the onboard GTX1660 and the eGPU in the Core X RTX2060S at the same time? I see both, but 1660 is inactive, and I tried to disable the integrated Intel 630, but the 1660 still would not be used.

Yeah, its probably a good idea to use the Egpu supplied connectors vs the GPU ones. Glad you got it sorted out

You can't make an SLI connection with the Core X and the integrated 1660, if that's what you mean.

I just want my laptop screen to utilize the 1660, and core X for the external monitor. Right now, the intel 630 is giving me problems with random black boxes on some programs on the laptop screen. I searched online, and this seems to be a graphic driver problem, so I updated the Intel 630's drivers, but the black boxes are still there for MS Outlook, Words I then disabled the intel 630, and still, the 1660 remains inactive, and only the 2060 is active powering both laptop and external monitor. AND, my laptop froze with only 2060 active... I can live with the black boxes, as long as they don't cause any damage to the laptop. Thoughts on what's causing the black boxes?

Blade and all optimus laptop screen are controlled by intel gpu, it’s not driver issue. So don’t disable it if you want to use internal screen.

Got it. The laptop kept crashing on me, so I looked online, and changed the power options to turn off PCI Express' "Link State Power Management". So far so go, no crashing yet, hopefully that's what's causing the crashing; but the black boxes are still there though.
