well, I already been used for several days feel nice except 16g on board and can you add the fanspeed control option on customize mode because when I maximize the performance of blade 14 the cpu temperature was too high because the fanspeed was auto control .

Yes Razer has to make more software options like bringing back manual fans speed on performance (costum mode), limiting tdp curve (sliding) for better thermal especially on 3080 variant, and battery charging limitation since gaming laptops would probably being used on plugged on the wall condition, limiting charging to lower (not current higher 95%) would prolong the battery wear.

wonder how's the heat.

It has similar AMD freesync premium, your gaming experience would be similar smooth with g sync. Did you experience any stutter?
I may not buy this Beast soon. But, can we have the Wallpaper please ?
look ath the community wallaper tabs, it isn't updated yet :frown_:

There is FreeSync which is essentially the same thing for all intents and purposes here. Go into the Radeon Software app and then click on the settings gear at the top right. Then click on display. You'll see "AMD FreeSync" and it should be toggled on. The FreeSync range is 48hz - 144hz.

It doesn't work like a typical g-sync display which may throw people off at first - you cannot control adaptive sync in the nVidia control panel and no option appears in the app. It is controlled by the AMD software. To avoid tearing and have the smoothest experience, set a maximum FPS in the nVidia control panel (or in the AMD software if using the integrated GPU for gaming). Go into the nVidia control panel and set max FPS to 141, which should keep you just under the 144hz refresh rate and eliminate tearing.

I'm kind of disappointed that the adaptive sync range doesn't range from 1-144, but then again I try to not have my FPS go below 60 so it isn't a major issue.

My last Blade was the 2017 14" with GTX 1060 and I said back then adaptive sync would put this laptop over the edge. Razer has answered the call finally with this new 14" and so far I could not be happier.

I just ordered mine after researching gaming laptops over the past year. Got the 3070 version. Size and price were right in my ballpark. Almost went with the ASUS, ROG Flow x13, then this gem popped up last week. A little bigger screen and less money. This will be my first new laptop purchase in over 6 years. Something portable I can use for work and go to for gaming while traveling. I seriously feel like a kid at Christmas. I have some reservations about the cooling while gaming, but it's got to be better then my insanely hot Alienware laptop.
Cheers
Any support for external or eGPUs? I know thunderbolt usually means Intel.

Without the Intel standard Thunderbolt or USB-4, there is no eGPU support. That killed it for me.

No, maybe next gen ryzen with usb 4 if intel generously enough to let amd get the certification.

I think you don’t need Egpu for a while it’s already beast gpu on it maybe only high end card 3070/80 that exists like a unicorn can beat the GPUs performance. Egpu is nice for bumping performance on laptops with a weak gpu like stealth 13 or book 13.
what a little beast
Gaming laptop are always cool but razer brings great one always.

I wish one day, I could buy this.. Still looking for a Gaming Laptop to use when travelling, still have a survey, still thinking on what brand to choose, and still saving some money on that budget.
I don't get what all the big hype is about for a laptop. I mean they are great for traveling and.... Well that's about all I got for it but desktop is where it's at. So much you can do with the desktops and a lot more potential for upgrades and customization options. So please tell me. Why do a lot of you all like the laptops so much??

Atleast like
I got my Razer Blade 14 (3080) a few days ago and I've been very impressed. it's my first Razer purchase and I'm blown away by how well built this thing is and portable. I've been away from PC gaming but I an run everything at 2560x1440 165hz and Ultra that I've tried which is awesome. I haven't had much time to game but in Windows even at 165hz I'm getting about 7+ hours of battery life out of the box which is great. Overall a really great purchase. I'm super happy so far

That is a really good point about the eGPUs. I like the idea that I can get more life out of a laptop by getting the latest generation GPU for an older laptop. Even though it will not run as fast as just the new GPU. The other feature I really like about the eGPU is that it becomes a 1 wire dock.

I bet its a good one, but im not a AMD fan.
