Blade 15 Insecurities

1. I think reviews on Reddit is minority Blade 15 owners, saw also sometimes users who satisfied with their purchase, usually such users don’t post as much as users who claimed the issue, it’s pretty similar in other brands laptops. 2. I bought directly from Razer 3 new units and one refurbished within last almost 5 years, only one I had issue and could notice it within 14 days return window. 3. It should be similar with other Blade, tnt aluminum unibody. I’ve advanced 2018 over a year, with good thermal monitoring, software tweak like undervolting and not pushing it on gaming mode for long session it’s still great machine, no issues so far. Hardware wise I upgraded only the ssd, no other hardware tweaks like repasting whatsoever.

As mentioned, people who generally give feedback are those that experienced something unpleasant and those reviews on the internet are just a fraction of the people who use Razer products. It really depends on your luck, there is a 14 day return window if you purchase directly from the RazerStore and that will be a good time to check if you got a defective unit. Even if you passed the 14 day return window, you have a year of warranty where Razer can repair or replace your unit for free within that one year period. The Razer Blade is crafted from a single block of aluminum and CNC milled to exact precision as stated on their website. I personally own a Razer Blade 15 and it’s just as stated.

The aluminum part applies to both Base and Advanced Model ?

I haven't had any issues with any of my Blades beside a battery replacement! I know it runs hot! but thats the territory of a full aluminum chassis and all crammed into something so thin! I love it still!

Hey! I bought a Razer Blade 15 last month to replace my 2012 MacBook Pro and while I can't tell you anything about it's longevity maybe what I have to say might be of some value? First of all, why are there so many bad reviews on the internet? If you've had a really bad time with a product you will more than likely be incredibly vocal about it, especially if said product was expensive or considered high quality. I will forever criticise Apple computers because my MacBook broke just outside of warranty and I had a lot of problems getting it repaired it had 4 repairs in two months three of which I paid for at a cost of over £400 and were all to do with it's hard drive even though I paid for replacement drives. They then told me after the 4th that it might be the mother board and cost me hundreds more. So I basically received a poorly made product and got no real support for it. If someone had this kind of experience with Razer (And undoubtedly even the highest end tech has these flukes sometimes) people will be very angry just as I was. 2.- How "easy" is to get a "bad" working unit from Razers website ? Like I said above it happens to everyone but if it's any consolation I have had no problems this far, also I would think people on this forum are probably all happy with Razer so this may not be the best place for the question, just my two cents. 3.- Is Razer Blade Base Model made from aluminum? Or which material do they use? I have a Base Model and it is aluminium :)

1. Since it’s £, assuming you’re in EU so you’ve 2 years guarantee, if there’s anything goes wrong you should have not paying anything in that period. With a good thermal monitoring and annual Fans internal cleaning mine is still great. I’ve early batch Blade 15, means over a year runs without anything wrong. CS experience may be vary, i don’t have complaints so far one rma Blade 14 and supports on out of Guarantee system 2013 Razer Edge. But yes out of Guarantee repair costs may be expensive though. 2. Since 2015 bought 4 various Blade, two 14 a refurbished stealth and 15 direct from Razer store, found bad unit on late 2016 Blade 14 within 14 days return period, returned and exchanged with 2017 model. 3. It’s cnc aluminum unibody.
