Blade Advanced 2021 - Laggy Trackpad after Sleep

Hi,



I've found threads on other communities detailing a similar issue dating back to 2017. If I put my W10 RZ09-0409x (Blade Advanced 2021, gtx3070) to sleep or hibernate, upon waking the trackpad will be jumpy & unusable-- sporadic movements, intermittent click misses, generally poor performance. External mice are not impacted. I've tried various non-OE drivers, older Synaptics software, Windows updates, BIOS updated to latest version to no avail. 100% of the time, upon resuming it will not work. Even disabling the HID-compliant touchpad device prior to sleeping and enabling upon wake doesn't resolve.



Linux users are experiencing the same-- so is this a hardware defect or something at the firmware level? Are there any chances of this ever being fixed, or will it be necessary to reboot every time I need to use the trackpad after sleeping?



Has anyone had any success in having a functional trackpad after sleeping?
Can confirm on 2022 Blade 17 (12800H + 3080 Ti). It will work great off of a fresh restart, and it doesn't always do it after waking from sleep. Doesn't effect external mouse. Razer really need to look into this.

For those experiencing laggy trackpad on your razer blades, I may have found the solution this time:



Initially I thought it was razer synapse that was causing the issue, turns out it wasn't.



Then I found out that mouse polling rate was an issue with Windows 11, so I lowered my polling rate of my trackpad to 500Hz and haven't ran into the issue since. If you feel the lag, use a tool such as Mouse Rate to test your polling rate of your mouse. You will notice dips below 50 Hz.

So I was able to resolve the laggy mouse/trackpad today for the first time by disabling and re-enabling the Intel Serial IO I2C Host Controller. Seems like the I2C host controller was having issues.
Deivce Manager -> System Devices -> Intel Serial IO I2C Host Controller - #### -> Properties -> Disable Device -> Enable Device again.
