Blade Pro 17" 2021 Suddently slower fps (GPU problem?)
Hi, I got my hands on the Razer Blade 17" 3060 QHD last week. It was great in the first days, but it's making my last days a hell. Suddenly Flight Simulador started crashing & stopped working. Then, 3dMark score becomes less than 2.000... I tried update everything. Problem didn't stop. Today I made a Razer Factory Reset. Keeps the problem. I updated everything, but the problem is still going on. I think it might be a problem with my hardware. I bought at Amazon (from Razer Store) and imported it to Brazil. I'm worried :s

+1Download HWInfo and check the CPU/GPU temps while gaming. It should show if the laptop is throttling due to heat.
I'd recommend put something under the laptop (or buy some laptop stand) - so it'll have better air circulation.

heavengeoZaffre692Can you upload HWinfo64 sensor screenshot as @FiszPL recommend while running 3DMark, Firestrike result link might also help for looking the culprit, if it’s cpu/gpu or driver problems. As for Flight simulator I don’t play the game but I heard it’s quite unoptimized, from my experience with Ubisoft unoptimized titles crashing is usual issue, finding the best version of nvidia drivers might solve the issue.

I also have major heat issues with the same laptop... had to cap my processor at 80% with a laptop cooler and run fans at max speed (super loud) and occassionally it'll still hit 90 degrees after a long time... really bad design for a laptop. These companies need to start making laptops thicker again... this thin laptop for gaming laptop movement might be the dumbest thing ever thought of.

On those percentage it means you’re running on base clock maybe lower, no boost. Even on first gen blade 15 which I think has the worse cooling (because of first gen) by disabling turbo boost I never see it hits 90ish degrees on any cpu gpu demanding titles like Valhalla, RDR2, SoTR etc, how long is your gaming session btw, a week:big_grin_:?

projeKteMy blade pro 17 (2070 Max-Q) only hits 90 deg on spikes....but gaming it rarely crosses 80 degrees, GPU rarely crosses 70 degs. Its one chill laptop (if you check reviews of other OEMs)

I am experiencing this same issue with the 3080 version. I installed GPUz and have determined that my laptop will intermittently enter "PerfReason" state of "Pwr". From my research this simply means the GPU isn't getting sufficient power. Shutting down the machine, disconnecting, and reconnecting followed by a reboot resolves the problem for awhile. When functioning properly the device shows a "PerfReason" of "Idle" or "VRel", both of which are normal or seem to be normal. Anyone have any thoughts? OP, try installing GPUz and see if you get the same results when throttled. I have tried COUNTLESS drivers and even performed a refresh/fresh install three times and experience the same issues with a fresh install.
ALSO: Is yours connected to a docking station or some other device capable of PowerDelivery? Mine is and I noticed it doesn't limit power if I wait to plug the PD device in until after windows 10 boots. It runs full speed in that scenario. If I boot WITH the chroma dock plugged in, then it limits power most of the time.
