no number pad WHY ? this is one of the many reasons I buy 17 inch laptops ! so annoying.

    Probably for the speakers. Someone told me they use the numpad for macrokeys so that is a bit of a lose for the regard. I think there was enough room to put one in but, then they would've had to either make the keys smaller and move the very loud speakers. Ultimately I think it was to appease the gamer crowd.
