Blade Stealth 13" - "breathing" green indicator light on front means what?

I have a new Blade Stealth 13" GTX 4K (late 2019). When I close the lid to sleep the laptop, at first the indicator light on the front comes on white and goes into a "breathing" in-and-out pattern, which the manual indicates means the laptop is in sleep mode (as it should be). Eventually though, the light changes to a green breathing pattern. Manual says green means on. What does the "breathing" green light mean? I've usually got the laptop plugged in, and on WiFi, so I'm wondering if this might be wake-for-network or something else.

Did you connect USB devices? The laptop can also be woken up via USB.

I wonder if the touchpad or a key is somehow being interfered with when the laptop is closed. The breathing green definitely means the laptop is on.
